URG’s Shareholder

The United Robotics Group has two shareholders. RAG Stiftung Beteiligungsgesellschaft (RSBG SE) holds a qualified majority in United Robotics Group. With the acquisition of SoftBank Robotics Europe SAS, Softbank Robotics Group Corp. has become a minority shareholder of United Robotics Group.

RSBG SE, based in Essen, is an industrial holding company of the RAG Foundation and part of the RAG Foundation’s capital investment. It contributes directly to financing the eternal tasks of the German coal industry and thus has a real “purpose”.

RSBG SE invests primarily in companies whose products and services are highly relevant to global changes in the areas of population development, urbanization, health, automation & robotics and new technologies. Against the background of the corresponding world market trends, RSBG SE, together with its partners from the SME sector, focuses in particular on competencies in the areas of digitalization, Industry 4.0 and cloud computing.

As a strategic financial holding company, RSBG SE bundles its investments in currently five business groups, which are divided into Infrastructure, Information & Communication, Advanced Manufacturing, Automation & Robotics and Value Investment; in addition, RSBG SE holds strategic minority interests. The Group currently employs a total of around 8,800 people in more than 20 countries worldwide.
