Thomas Hähn

CEO & FOUNDER

Thomas Hähn is founder and CEO of the United Robotics Group. In his role, Thomas Hähn is responsible for the strategy and vision. In 2020, he founded the United Robotics Group to establish an European leader in service robotics together with RAG-Stiftung, which is majority shareholder. Within three years, the United Robotics Group acquired majority stakes in nine robotics companies and has currently over 500 employees.

Before founding URG, Thomas Hähn founded the industrial automation company HAHN Automation in 1992. In 2017 the fast-growing HAHN Automation and its sister companies needed a joint management. The HAHN Automation Group was founded with RAG-Stiftung as a majority shareholder. Today, the HAHN Automation Group employs around 1,800 people in its subsidiaries in 16 countries and is one of the top 10 industrial automation companies in the world.

Thomas Hähn is an entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in automation and robotics. He has a diploma in mechanical engineering.

 

Dr. Nadja Schmiedl

CTO

Dr. Nadja Schmiedl is United Robotics Group’s CTO since 2022. In her role, Nadja Schmiedl is responsible for the departments Innovation & Technology, Corporate Development and Human Resources. She has a broad knowledge in strategic leadership, business transformation and strategy in the technical field.

Before joining United Robotics Group, she was Senior Vice President Strategy & Technology at URG’s shareholder, RSBG SE, Senior Vice President Group Strategy & Corporate Development at R. STAHL Group and owner of her own business as a consultant and coach in strategy consulting.

Nadja Schmiedl began her career at Siemens. She completed her studies with a PHD in industrial engineering at the Technical University of Chemnitz. In addition to her PHG, she studied dispute resolution at the University of Technology Law School in Sydney.

 

Thomas Linkenheil

Co-CEO

Thomas Linkenheil is United Robotics Group’s Co-CEO and Managing Director since 2022. In his role, he is responsible for the entire operational management of the United Robotics Group, especially for the departments Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Development and Sales/Marketing.

He has more than 20 years of experience in various industries, such as in marine electronics, oil and gas, polymer solutions and printing. In his most recent positions, Thomas Linkenheil was driving disruptive product and service developments to support growth strategies for example as CEO at R. STAHL.

Before joining United Robotics Group, he held executive positions at Trelleborg Group as well as at portfolio companies at Altor Equity Partners and CVC Capital Partners. Thomas Linkenheil began his career at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG.
